At this juncture, a set of plans and designs are drawn up by the designer. These are all hand drawn: each customer's blueprints are completely unique - there are no cookie cutter, computer-generated designs here! Once the blueprints are drawn up, prices are determined for all cabinets, counters, hardware, plumbing and labor which would be involved in the project. The designer also researches appliances to see what would fit best into the design and project budget. Other details and options, such as adding an island and determining seating areas, cabinet heights and custom moldings, are also considered at this point. Throughout the entire process, client ideas and wish lists are integrated into the plans with an eye towards thoroughly satisfying their desires. To accomplish this end, the designer speaks with the clients as frequently as needed in order to be clear about what they seek, to suggest changes or ideas, and to explain the practicalities and any individual circumstances of their project. After all has been considered, a proposal is written and submitted to the client for review.
